Star of the Week - Jacob!

Our star this week is JACOB!! Jacob is such a fun personality in K1! He loves to be silly and play with his friends. K1 would not be as FUN without this sweet boy! We loved watching him share about himself and show us his favorite toys and movie!

Jacob's mom surprised us yesterday and read us two fun books! We loved having her in K1! :)

American Flag

We learned about two american symbols this week - the American flag and the Texas flag. We also practiced saying both pledges.

Laura Numeroff Cupcakes

To finish off our week reading Larua Numeroff books, we read "If you Give a Cat a Cupcake". We talked about the sequence and they have to use their comprehension skills to retell the story from memory. We also talked about alliterations and we created our own "if you give a ___ a ___ he will ask for a ____" stories using alliterations.
