In celebration of the Chinese New Year - we created paper dragons and red lanterns!

Genius Hour - round two!

Global Day of PLAY!

Cottonwood Creek's theme this year is PLAY! It is incredible how important it is for children to learn through play. We set up four different types of play - building/constructing, creating/crafts, games/puzzles, and outdoor play and let the learners choose which type of play. They rotated around through out the day to play at the different areas! How much fun!

Dr. Penny Visits K1!

Dr. Penny loves reading to kindergarten! We were so lucky because she was able to come to K1 and read us an awesome Valentines book! At the end of the book we even got to see the cool paper doll that comes with that book!

It is always a treat getting to have our principal in our classroom! 

Valentine's Day Party!

Friday we celebrated Valentine's Day by having a wonderful party thrown by our sweet room moms! Leah's mom taught us so many fun games - like blowing cupids arrow out of straws, and doing a "cake walk". We earned fun prizes and got to eat yummy frozen yogurt!
