Day 3 - Chrysanthemum

Today we read Chrysanthemum and talked about being a good friend to others who are different. We discussed how we are ALL so different but we treat each other nicely! We also start Daily 5 Stations which are 4 different stations or tables that they rotate to throughout the day. Our stations today were 1-Create name plate
2-Matching Letters
3-ABC Coloring
4-Fun with Legos

When they finished working they could go read a book or do a puzzle! We will gradually introduce more and more things to do during Daily 5 time. But today... we did an EXCELLENT job!

Here is how we keep track of what station we are at!
After we all went to the art table and made our name plates, we used our mathematician brains and graphed how many letters are in our name! We even learned NEW words like "equal to" which means the same. And we learned "greater than" and "less than"! We are pretty smart!
